AI Animation

Moss and I started recording Locomotive and Set the Sail after releasing Morning After through CD Baby, and that was the time when I just discovered Midjourney.  I had determined that Midjourney was not good for handling text because even if I told it not to change the text, it still would.  Then I started playing with the animation function.  Even though we had not started recording Wicked Waste yet, I still was working on the artwork and had the album cover that ChatGPT had created, and brought it into Midjourney to animate it:

Now we had finished Set the Sail, so I wanted to create some animations for YouTube Shorts... word on the street was that YouTube Shorts was the key to getting recognized by the algorithm, and I got the idea of an Elven King and Queen dancing.  It took multiple attempts to get the look that I wanted, their wardrobe and jewelry and finally I got this image:

I animated the longest animation that Midjourney would allow, searching Google for ballroom dances and trying to prompt Midjourney to perform specific moves. Midjourney would make four versions of a few seconds and I would choose the best one and animate the next few seconds until I reached the maximum time allowed. After I finally was happy with the results in Midjourney, I brought it into DaVinci Resolve for video editing and just made multiple copies with transitions to get it to the length that I wanted for the Set the Sail YouTube Short.

At that time I really got into the whole Elven King and Queen thing and made another one for Locomotive.  Now Midjourney is very artistic, but far from perfect... keep a close eye on the king's shoes LOL.  Listen for Jojo's voice saying "GUITAR" right before my guitar solo:

During this time I also animated our EP Album Cover and added the guitar solo from Locomotive as well:

When we finished recording Can't Stop the Clock I made this woman warrior in front of a jewel encrusted portal to another dimension:

This one created for Locomotive must have been created before Midjourney cracked down on intimacy... some people must have gone too far.
Check out the animation of the Chinese Red Dragon AKA Red Dragon I:
There are red fire breathing dragons galore in this one LOL:
